# Watch Tonight

> A movie and TV show recommender that starts from your own taste. 8 to 12 picks, each with why it fits and plain content notes, refined round by round.

List titles you loved and titles you couldn't get into, choose a mood, and set limits: movies or
shows, runtime or episode length, era, original language, who is watching and content to keep out.
The app returns:

- a two- or three-sentence read of what your loves and dislikes have in common,
- 8, 10 or 12 picks, each with year, kind, runtime, original language, genres, a safe / step-out /
  wildcard label, the loved title or mood it answers, a specific reason it fits, and content notes,
- titles it considered and left out, and questions that would sharpen the next round.

Mark any pick "more like this", "less like this", "seen it" or "keep" and refine: the next round
moves toward and away from what the marked titles share, keeps what you kept and never repeats.

## What is free

- A taste check that runs in the browser as you type: it parses your titles (with a year and a
  note), shows conflicts (a title in both lists), and turns your limits into rules.
- After every reply, each pick is checked in the browser against those rules: already loved,
  disliked or seen; movies vs shows; over the runtime cap; outside the era; wrong original
  language; content notes that mention something you asked to keep out (negations like "no gore"
  are skipped); duplicates; repeats from the last round. Picks that break a limit are marked and
  can be hidden.
- Seven saved examples, including a refine round, too little to go on, and a request that is not
  about watching anything.
- A watchlist (want / watched / dropped), kept in this browser for guests and in your account
  when signed in, with CSV and Markdown export. Watched titles are never picked again.

## What is paid

Picks and refine rounds run on a language model and are paid per run with SkillSafe credits. No API
key is needed: sign in, see the reserved hold before running, and pay only what the run uses.

## Limits

Titles, years and details come from the model's general knowledge and can be wrong. There is no
live catalogue: where to watch is not checked, and the "Where to watch?" link opens a web search.
